On behalf of myself & our superb team here at the Aerodrome, We would like to thank each & every one of you for attending our first Wings & Wheels event. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side Saturday but we pressed on with more drive to deliver Sunday. It was brilliant to see so many people attending the show Sunday. Our extended thanks to all of the volunteers who worked so hard and professionally. A special thank you to all of our caterers & stall holders, and to our exhibitors who kindly displayed their outstanding Cars, Motorcycles & Aeroplanes. You were all fantastic and very informative. We hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we did and we look forward to updating you all with details for our bigger & better 2022 show next year. No doubt we will be seeing some of you soon.

Thank you once again. Simon,

Middlezoy Aerodrome.

On Remembrance Sunday 8th November 2020 the Middlezoy Aerodrome flying group commemorated the occasion with a formation flight around NW Somerset. The formation of up to 4 aircraft led by Sqn Ldr Dave Linney AFC RAF retired, accompanied by pilots Flt Lt Mike Laundy cfs RAF retired, Mr Simon Childs & Mr Dave Jones.

RIP Tom Porter. Tom was a wonderful man, kind, full of enthusiasm and always prepared to give up his own time to help others. He was heavily involved with us at Middlezoy Aerodrome - responsible for not only digging out and transporting the remains of our wartime Nissen Hut from an old RAF station, he also worked tirelessly on our Gloster Meteor repairing the canopy section, painting and assembling. He often was on hand to help service our resident aeroplanes. We were lucky enough to treat Tom to a ride last year in the Pietenpol where he demonstrated a natural flair for flying, a small gesture to say thank you for all his hard work & continued support over the years. You are a true gentleman who will be dearly missed by all of us on the squadron. Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time. May you now Rest In Peace Tom Porter
